A hurricane watch is now in effect for parts of Florida’s Big Bend and Nature Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), as Tropical Depression Four takes shape off of Cuba and prepares to enter the Gulf of Mexico.
NHC’s projected track of the storm—which could become Tropical Storm Debby—has continued to shift slightly to the west. The space between the “cone of uncertainty” and Florida’s southwest coast has continued to increase.
However, a tropical storm warning has expanded to nearly all of the peninsula’s west coast from East Cape Sable to Yankeetown, and concerns of storm surge and heavy rainfall intensify....
