Nearly 120 million Americans—roughly half of adults living in the United States—have high blood pressure, a serious condition that can lead to heart attack and stroke. A recent study has shown that cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, kale, and cauliflower significantly lower blood pressure in middle-aged and older adults with hypertension—even better than other vegetables linked to maintaining healthy blood pressure.
